| Update: Antenna test campaign successful |

The STANT test campaign has been conducted successfully. The Gregorian antenna engineering model was equipped with sensors and MLI for thermal-vacuum testing (including in-situ distortion measurements) as well as instrumentation for sine and random vibration and acoustic testing. New highly accurate measurement systems were used in order to assess the overall performance. |
Tests conducted:
- Thermal vacuum cycling
- In-situ thermo-elastic distortion measurements via laser interferometry
- Sine and random vibration
- Acoustic testing using novel measurement techniques
- Shape measurements for RF prediction
Test to be carried out:
- RF functional test in Ka, Q and V-band
- Test completion scheduled for May 2011
